WANT BETTER
GRADES?
Here are some quick tips for getting
better grades and learning how to study:
Pick
the time and place -
pick a time that is most
productive and a
place that
allows you to concentrate. Learn what works for YOU.
Check
your environment - the right
conditions are crucial to concentration.
Do you have
good lighting, comfortable temperature, table or desk,
chair with a
straight back and necessary materials?
Stick
to your schedule -
study at "your designated place and
time"
at least three
days a week and you will quickly develop a good habit.
Cut
your distractions and interruptions
-
make sure your study time is free of unnecessary noises, TV,
phone calls,
cell phones and other distractions.
Prioritize -
before you start, prioritize your
assignments from most difficult,
and do them in
that order. That way you're able to tackle the
most difficult
assignments with a fresh brain because
you don't
think very well when you are tired.
Take
a break occasionally - study for 20
to 30 minutes and take a 10 minute break -
just long
enough to get refreshed then return determined to FINISH.
The best
study break is a quiet one. Try to relax. REMEMBER:
NO TV until you
are completely finished.
Review often
- repetition helps you remember what you have learned.
Reward yourself
- when you make that B and/or that A, reward yourself for a job well
done.
Follow these tips and you will achieve better
grades - GUARANTEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
