EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS
-Lannom-

1)  Bring textbook, folder, pen/pencil, and assignments to class every day.
2)  Be on time and prepared for class by having materials ready, pencils
           sharpened, etc.
3)  Follow Ms. Lannom's directions promptly.
4)  Make your BEST effort at your work.
5)  Be an ACTIVE listener in class.
6)  Respect other students' right to learn by not causing a disturbance.
7)  Copy ALL notes and examples as they are given in class.
8)  WRITE ALL ASSIGNMENTS IN ASSIGNMENT BOOK DAILY.
9)  Use time wisely in class.  (Students are given 5-10 minutes at the end of
class each day to document, review, and begin completing their  assignments.
Complete homework assignments every night.  Make sure to turn them in
the next day.  (No late work accepted...see student handbook for
      specific regulations.)
10)  The students should take initiative for their learning by asking
questions about concepts they don't understand.
11)  It is the students' obligation to record their grades in their assignment
books.  Time is given to the students to document their grades when
           quizzes or tests are returned.
12)  If extra assistance is needed, it is the students' responsibility to see me
so we can set up a time to discuss necessary information.
13)  Make time EVERY evening to review/study what has been discussed or
completed in class.  ("No Homework" is an impossible concept.
Minutes of review may vary, however, the students should not let
the material "build up" over time.  A minimum of 15-20 minutes each
night is required to be successful in Science class.
14)  Check the assignment calendar if absent from class.
15)  Students are responsible for gathering missed work and setting up a time
with me to make up a quiz, test, or lab.
16)  Take advantage of EXTRA CREDIT opportunities.
(All assignments must be completed in order to pursue this option.)
